Basic Quran Recitation

Level One

Course Duration 50-60 hours
Minimum 2-3 hrs a week
This course is designed and put together for beginners starting to learn to read the Quran, it is for both children and adults who have no prior knowledge of reading the Quran or Arabic language. During this course you will be taught Arabic alphabets and vowels, joining of letters to make words and reading of the Quran. To keep our young students engaged and interested we will be using quizzes and stories from the Quran.
 
We at Al-Azkar recognize this stage to be the key foundation to our student’s study journey, and so we will be providing a comprehensive approach and material so that our students are familiar with the basic rules for Quran recitation and the importance of clear pronunciation. Students will be monitored regularly along with tests to ensure they fully understand the basic rules. Students will also have access to our online portal where they will have all their lesson plans, revision materials and progress report. Once students have completed this course successfully insha-Allah it will enable them to start to read the Quran. 
Requirements:
There are no requirements other than a full commitment from the student and parents to complete the course.

Basic Quran and introduction to

Tajweed Level Two

Course Duration 55-68 hours
Minimum 2-3 hrs a week
This course is a follow-on from stage one basic Quran recitation and is aimed at students who are able to read the Quran, however, are not fluent and lack in confidence. The course aims to support their confidence as well as improve their fluency in reading the Quran. It will also help identify regular and common mistakes that students often make without realizing it, and as the students progress through each lesson, they will be more confident in their Qiraat and the application of the basic rules of tajweed. If you are starting from level two and are not sure of all the rules, don’t worry as some of the basic topics from the level 1 course will also be covered.
 

We recognize that each student’s journey of learning to recite the Quran will be different and so our support will be tailored to their needs to maximize their full potential, focusing on areas where they require the most support. In this course, we will also include some heevzal (memorization of the Quran) and dua’s.

To enroll in this course students are required to know how to read Arabic words and must have knowledge of vowels, sukoon, madd, tanween and shaddah. Any student who has completed " Qaida”, can join this course as well.

The Key

Foundation Couse

Minimum 1/2 hrs a week
Our key foundation course is designed to cover many aspects of Islamic teaching along with the key subject which includes details of how to pray and its importance, memorization of Juz 30, learning dua’s and its importance, hadith and a short story from the Quran. This course is designed so that it acts as a supplementary course along with the level 1 and 2 basic Quran course for our younger students.
At Al-Azkar Institute we recognize this course to be a very important part of our young student’s learning journey of the Quran and Islam, so we encourage our students to enroll on this course at least one session a week along with their basic Quran study. To further help our students, we will provide access to materials relating to this course through our portal where they will find a recoding of Juz 30 for revision, study activity, list of dua’s to for memorizing and much more.

Tajweed-ul Quran

Full completion of the Quran

Course Duration 46-68 hours
Minimum 2-3 hrs a week
Our mission at Al-Azkar, is to focus on perfecting your recitation with the use of tajweed rules. And so this course is for students who know how to read the Quran but require support in perfecting their recitation of the Quran and Qirath. With the help of our highly qualified tutors, you will learn how to recite the Quran in the most accurate and beautiful way possible. The class will teach you the various rules of tajweed, such as proper pronunciation of letters, elongation of vowels, and correct application of stops and pauses. As you progress through the course you will develop many techniques like the mouth and tongue technique, increasing skills of recitation of the Quran. You will also learn about the different types of recitation styles, such as Hafs and Warsh, and how to choose the right style for your recitation.
 
Tajweed is the set of rules that govern the proper pronunciation and recitation of the Quran. It is a crucial aspect of reciting the Quran, as it helps to maintain the integrity and beauty of the language in which the Quran was revealed.
